Cell Phone Etiquette is Important
Friday, September 5th, 2008Having wireless sync and exchange hosting available for your smart phone is a great way to save your employees time and to save you money, but do you know that more often than not, people break the etiquette rules when it comes to cell phones? Once you’ve got exchange hosting set up, you may want to remind your employees about the etiquette of cell phone usage. Some of the top rules that are broken include:
• Talking too loudly – if your employee is in a business meeting and begins to talk too loudly, everyone in the room will be affected. It is important to keep quiet voices when you talk on a cell – remember: cell phones are incredibly sensitive.
• Interrupting conversations – never, ever interrupt a business meeting to take a cell phone message unless it is a very important call coming in. This is highly annoying and rude.
•Texting and driving – exchange hosting allows you to keep in touch whenever, but make sure everyone plays it safe. Never encourage texting or checking messages while driving.
• Use vibrate judiciously – loud and annoying ring tones can irritate everyone. Make vibrate your friend.
